FOR THE LONG TERM
We’ve invested in our future for nearly 100 years. Safe to say we have experienced a lot over the last 5 generations. Leverage our experience and expertise to build your future too.
The real opportunity to achieve superior results is not in scrambling to outperform the market, but in establishing and adhering to appropriate investment policies over the long-term. The single most important dimension of investment policy is asset allocation.
Asset allocation refers to the proportion of assets that an investor chooses to place into particular investment classes. At Holdun, we work directly with you to develop the appropriate asset mix specific to your risk tolerance and time horizon to ensure your needs and objectives are met. The three basic principles underline our asset allocation decisions:
- Build portfolios with a pronounced equity bias
- Fashion portfolios with substantial diversification
- Create portfolios with concerns for tax considerations
Our discretionary investment portfolios are broken down into two distinct strategies. Our Legacy portfolios take a more conservative bottom-up approach. In contrast, our tactical portfolios focus on opportunities to add value over the short-to-intermediate term, implementing a global “top-down” approach, incorporating a hybrid of both active and passive strategies.
Our Legacy portfolios take a more conservative bottom-up approach to equity investing with a focus towards ‘investing for the long-term.’
Both these portfolios boast a 30-year track record. This disciplined and patient approach has seen these portfolios outperform their respective benchmarks over both long- and short-term periods; you won’t see much turnover here.

Our Tactical portfolios focus on opportunities to add value over the short-to-intermediate term, implementing a global “top-down” approach, incorporating a hybrid of both active and passive strategies.
We mitigate portfolio risk by diversifying across different sectors, asset classes, countries, and investment strategies. What has evolved is the opportunity for investors to capture a broader exposure to global opportunities across both Equities and Fixed-Income.
